Barry D. Thomas

Barry Thomas has more than 30 years of experience representing oil and gas and energy companies.  His practice focuses on oil and gas and other energy-related transactions.  He has primarily represented operators, his clients, including both the largest energy companies in the world, as well as small independents.  He also serves as the General Counsel of the Permian Strategic Partnership Inc. (“PSP”), a 501(c)(6) organization consisting of the largest operators, service companies and universities active in the Permian Basin.  PSP was formed in 2018 with the goal of improving education, healthcare, workforce development, road safety, and housing for Permian Basin residents.  To date, PSP has put over $1.8 billion to work for communities in the Basin.
